they are mid 90's non wraparound ones!

are they for an old bike?
for true oldschool you'll want full wrap 401's

look at this pic for easy identification  ;)

Showtime, what does it mean by "wraparound"???

In the early 80's when i knew of them originally there was only the pinch and non pinch.

easiest way to describe it is to compare the pedal ends of the top 2 cranks in that pic, the full wraparounds have crank arm all the way round the pedal mounting piece (and the spindle mount with the bolt) & its almost like they have pierced the crank arm (there is crank arm wrapped all the way round them)
then in the 2nd one down you can clearly see the pedal mounting piece is just welded onto the rnd of the crank arm as is the spindle mount, then the pinch bolt is just welded onto the back of that!

its a little hard to desribe but have a close look at the pics & you'll see  ;)

i have a larger version of that image i can mail you if you like?  :)

Just got it thanks Adam,

Cheers for that.

I understand now what it means by wraparound, it's like the crank arm swallows up the pedal boss and the end of the crank "wraps" around it.

At least i think that's what it is.

Looks that way from wraparound and non-wraparound

Spot on  :daumenhoch: Both ends are actually wrapped around the pedal thread and spindle end. Still nice cranks though.

You've got to be a picky sod though to spot that ;)
