i remember as a kid going to a place over camden way that had a big bowl like that . we had to leave after 10 mins as loads of dodge folks came over trying to tax our bikes

I think that was Stockwell skate park.

no it not stockwell ridden there loads of time and i do remember it being up by king`s cross way { might not be that bowl but something like it }as we rode there afterwards and that was a funny old ramp that just went straight to vert and was only 5 feet high .

dont think its any where near camden there was a bowl in kentish town but there wernt any grass and trees near it just concrete and flats  :LolLolLolLol:

i know about the one in kentish town as well . this place i thinking about had grass all round it ie like a park . oh well i never know .

Is it Knebworth park skate park?  near Stevenage herts?  that had a big bowl at the end of the snake run, Green toad should remember it? or Stevenage kid

I remember it sh*t the life out of me anyways!

Hi all

I have been to the bowl, but my memory has gone where it was  :-[

I have passed the info around.

I found this though, which has some great pictures (use the NEXT PICTURE, top right ) -

http://www.nickwills.co.uk/srp/photos/detail.asp?iPic=437&iType=57

There are a few pictures of Stevenage and Knebworth.

Yeah Stevenge Bowes Lion skate park was where i spent 82-84, it went a bit skate board-ish a few years back....but i think the BMX's have taken it back now......i drive past it all the time...but haven't stopped and taken a look for years!

The three leaf clover was the best!

The piccies of knebworth are class mate! when did they get rid of the park and track?  god that track knackered me out!

Just found this as well -

http://www.slowdown.co.uk/britishskatemuseum/britishskateparks/KNEBWORTH.asp

Quality place was Knebworth, train ride, see the famous and pretty 80's pop star in the village and then ride in great surroundings.....good times.

Knebworth did have a monster bowl though....anorther great place flattened.

Pics were taken when RAD mag got word of it being demolished in the late 80's and ran a photo shoot just before the bulldozers arrived.

Thats me on the bike in the bowl!!!, I posted that pic on VBMX a few years back, I have loads more of that park including one of me on my TA at about the level of the fence, the thing with that bowl was to get out of the top you first had to  take off around three quarters of the way up the wall as it curved away, so just to get level you were around six feet of air plus the three feet to the fence level, it was a very scary view from there!.  I have a pic of the old roller geezer too, he looked like uncle albert on skates!!

Deffo Wickstead.A bunch of us went from "the humps" ( Broadmarsh Banks ,Nottm) in about 88 or 89.A couple of the guys dads dropped us off there for the day.As Kirk said you the lip was about 4 foot from the top,I over rotated an air in it and almost shit myself  ;D

Here`s another pic of Wickstead :

It`s only a thumbnail though  :(
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:
Follow your spirit, and upon this charge
Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'
