Anyone else heard of a....
« on: September 21, 2005, 02:30 PM »
Viceroy TCX2000 or Viceroy Proline. TCX2000 was my first bmx in 1983, have never heard it mentioned outside of my hometown (Bangor). It wasn't half bad for £140 - full cro-mo 'n all!

Might be able to find a pic if i delve deep enough.

there were a couple of viceroys round my neighbourhood in 83/84
one kid famously snapped his frame at the headtube. he had previously cracked a skyway.
back then we had parts snapping all over the place

Just out of interest, it would not have a gusset in the front, non loop tail and came with SR parts (3pc cranks, Stem)

Also Araya Rims on SR hubs?

That sounds about right, i'll dig out a pic tonight, tho I suspect it will involve showing off some more ridiculous eighties fashion sense. I can take it!!

I am sure if mine was what you lot are on about it has a clear colour coating over the chrome, i took it off fast as it was as gay as a gay thing in a gay place at a festival.

Cant say for sure, if my memory serves me right there was a small triangular gusset between the bottom of the downtube and the headtube on the Pro-Line. All will be answered once ive scanned a couple of old photos, as i had a pro-line f&f after I wrecked the TCX 2000. I even had a bright gold Viceroy race top!

Hmmm...dont think mine had a clear colour coating - not that i would admit to anyway!

:) I had a Viceroy for a while. It looked identical to a Supergoose 2 frame, but with welded on chainguard mounts and was mega heavy.Mine was blue with vinyl press stud pads and gold anodized steel rims and Kenda Karate tyres!
