HUTCH TITANIUM SPOKES - THE SEARCH IS OVER !!
« on: September 21, 2005, 05:38 PM »
Ok, well I was looking for some Hutch Titanium spokes, and my search has come to an end.   :)

According to Bill Grove who ran production at Hutch from 81-84 the titanium spoke idea was a great one but they failed miserably. The heads kept breaking off the spokes so they scrapped the idea.

The spokes that were used on the Pro Star in the 1983 BMXA test were not titanium like the article mentioned but just chrome plated Asahi.

So, it was never a production Hutch item that was available to the public.  .

Thanks to Alan McCorkle  who helped me out here

I will always keep one eye out for them,  there were some made that were not available for the puiblic, but i think they were probably all fitted to test bikes, so its probably an item that no longer exisits, or could be recgnised even if they got out into the market place !

Oh well !
