Okay.......need a headset for my MCS......It's 1 1/8th....so what's the best to get?  yes i know Chris King but i want something a little more affordable  ::)

And do they work in the same way as my Mountain bike one?  with the stupid star nut thingy?

Dia Compe do a couple of good ones that are reasonably priced, try Billys, www.billys.co.uk or (dread saying this) Winstanley's seem to carry a lot of mid school stuff  :daumenhoch:

Yep, they will work exactly like your MTB one  :daumenhoch:

FSA Pig, hard as nails, cheap as chips.  Well, £20 anyway.

Chris King
Just picked up a gold Chris King from Hastings Cycles this morning at a bargain £89.  For quality you pay!!  Have FSA Pigs on two of our bikes and as said they're 'ard as nails.  Get the sealed Pro for about £40 and it's a cracker.  Humps

Yes the Kings are THE best i know....i've had one on my MTB now for over 6 years and never had to service it once! I've swapped it over on to about four bikes now....and every time the grease is still the red colour from when it was new!

But all i need for this build is a good reliable 'cheap' headset as it's not going to be ridden too much.

Cheers though guys for all the comments..........i think it'll be the Pig as i have had a few FSA's in the past and they've all been great.

I just used a Hatta on my new build  cheap as chips and nice
chrome finish.
