PK Resto Project - Colour Dilema ??
« on: October 13, 2006, 01:35 PM »

Howdy Y'all

Here's the next resto project !

An '83 PK Looptail, in it's raw state,

I am in the process of getting the hairline crack in the seat tube professionally welded, and will then be off to the powdercoaters.

Colour scheme? Hmmmm….? I'm thinking one of the following - F&F in Dark SE Blue, with Baby Blue Decals, plus Blue/Silver Components, Blue Arayas. OR Black F&F, with Gold Decals, Gold/Black Components & Gold Arayas or possibly Black Skyways.

Any opinions? I guess it goes back to 'what I like', but I really do value any input from the RAD people !!

...any opinions? or should I go for something totally mad, Like Fiola Yellow all over, with Yellow Tuffs, or Pink !!

MONKEYBISCUITS RIP !!

Do the tan and baby blue the other way round. Frame tan and forks baby blue with the contrasting/complimentary decals.

The gold one with the skyways is the nicest looking Ripper I have seen, especially with the tuffs.

mines in the same raw state as monkeybiscuits but after stripping the powder off i've found a few dents in the frame. can anyone recommend anyone to fix the dents. also the weld on one side of the gusset has been sanded smooth with wet and dry by mistake(not by me) and might need re welding to make perfect again. i'm hoping to do this one polished, can anyone point me in the direction of a company that can do this properly. this rippers costing me a fortune... :LolLolLolLol:
thanks paul..................
