New commuter ride
« on: October 07, 2006, 03:26 PM »
Shame my photographic skills are not developing as quick as my lust for Torkers. Sorry about these but I have just finished sticking this together and wanted to take a few quick photos so I can crack open a beer and watch the footy.

With the nights drawing in I thought I needed a new cruiser to get me riding in to work more (it'll be locked indoors when I'm there, so no sniffing London streets trying to nick it  ::)).

Torker cruiser 1982
Redline Flites 177mm
Redline Techmatic BB
Shimano DXs
Redline chainring
Izumi chain
Torker cruiser bars
Torker stem
A'ME Cams
Tech III lever and Terrycable
Dia Compe MX900
Tuff Pads
Hatta headset and Suntour headlock
Uni seat
Suntour clamp
Araya rims
Suzue sealed hubs
Swiss nips
Knarler Knobbys
Haro Series One plate (bit on the big side though so on the hunt for something smaller).

I will try to stick some better photos up when I get around to getting some done.

Two things ive always hated about BMX,

Thanks for the compliments.
Got the F&F off t'Bay from a bloke in LA. He had just had it stripped and coated.

I don't think they had names as such back then, it's from '82 so before the X factor had hit Torker. Just called a Torker 24ins I think. Anyway, definitely my new best ride. I've just changed the tyres for some 1.5ins whitewalls for riding to work. Good incentive for getting up in the morning.

I'd stick some different pedals on a rider and save those mint looking DX's!
