Please can you tell me what kinda condition the f&f was in if you have recently purchased an Aero Reflex. Mine has just come today and after one look at it I put it straight back in the box. $:-\$

I am disappointed - I know these f&f's are old, but the 3 Reflexes I have seen in the flesh have looked pretty damn good..whereas the one I just took out of my box has some pitting and dull patches in the chrome and thre's a couple of small smears in the decals which now looking at them close up for the first time do look a bit naff

hi mate i bought one recently and it was fine the decals are crap tho so i peeled em off
but everything else was ok

The chrome even feels rough near the chainstays

the one i had, had great chrome
send it back and get it swapped (if you bought it from a shop)

although they do look pretty sexy with a white powder coat . . . .

Ok, some pics. Hard to pick out really on a picture.

Like I said, hard to see on a photo. The top of the downtube is bad for spots of brown and dullness as well as the chainstay area.

And there's my dodgy R

I just want to know if you think I am being too picky on a f&f that is 20 years old...if I hadn't seen 3 good examples though I wouldn't have expected much more. The forks are ok, just lots of silver spots on close inspection but thats nothing.

And all are MINT

Send it back from where ever it came ,

I,m sure they will understand ,if its that bad $:-\$

Hi Sam, sorry to hear about that $:-\$

I wouldn't of expected to see the front decal like that, if it's new old school then you should have had an unmarked set. I can only tell you from my own experience that I found some miniscule silver pitting here and there but nowt else, no brown spots, no special prepping or polishing, just kept the f+f as delivered (purchased from Alans).

Were the decals already applied?

I agree with everyone else, see if you can get an exchange or money back, if you're not happy with it, it'll be on your mind if you keep the bike. Promise ya, they're not all like that.

(and stay with those decals...seems I'm the only one who likes em $:-\$ )

Hi Sam - got mine from Alans and to be honest it was a bit dull and slightly smeary ! I got the old autosol on it and it came up a treat !It was guite bad around the chain stay too !

I am a chain and decals away from finishing so wont post a picture - but as its for you I will send a pm

sam i've had 2 myself from alans and both were mint with no marks to either the frames of stickers.
get em on the phone.
i bet he will sort it for you.

Thanks chaps. I could get the autosl (if I had some) on it, lol, but wasn't really expecting to do anything like that...and seems I may have got a bit of a duff one compared to all the others. I will ring tomorrow $:-\$

Oh, the stickers came already applied. I do still like em from furher away.

Yep phone em and get it swapped........i got mine of the bay so it wasn't NOS...all i dod was take off the decals and add the parts........no Autosol or anything!
