old dp bmx??

I have an old very tatty DP bmx I have owned for about 15 years. It had no decals on it when I bought it, just covered in matt black paint.
ANy idea on what models they made? it looks identical to the dp firebird pictures on this site, but it has dp logo cut into the rear platform unlike any of the others pictured.
I would like to do something with it, it has almost been dumped a few times now but never quite made it to the tip.

Hi,
They made the Firebird which was a race frameset (single toptube) and then the Firebird Freestyler which had a double toptube (platform).
There was a 'Glyn Lewis' Special Edition Firebird Freestyler too, which had holes in the tubes to run brake cables through.
There were lots of Firebird Freestylers in my town, and I'm sure others would say the same, but there aren't many pictured on this site. Check the Museum section to see some.
Strange how they've all vanished, or maybe they're languishing in sheds. So they are rare in a way.
I'm not sure about the DP logo, but others will hopefully help you out when they read your post/see your bike.

wow quick replies!!
I will take a photo tommorow but it isnt pretty!. It is double top tube and it does have holes to roue rear brake cable through frame tube as I remeber trying to get a cable through many years ago. I think there was also a 3 digit number stamped below the dp cutout on the rear platform.
Can stickers be got for it??
The other problem is the rear dropouts have always been a bit splayed where a wheel has been over tightened and kind of squashed the metal. can anything be done to sort it out??

Sounds like a Lewis model, pretty rare I think, if that's what it is.
You can get regular stickers, others will tell you if they can get/make any special stickers required.
A welder can sort the dropouts good as new if you can find the right person for the job, again people on here will advise.
Is it like this?:
Text reads:
DP's GL Plus Freestyler. 100% chromemoly trick machine designed by Glyn Lewis.
Trick modifications include concealed cable routes for hollow stem Pott's conversion. RRP £84.95

"..each bike has DP stamped out by laser on the gusset.."
There was also a ni-chrome limited edition F&F which was more expensive, about £140, not sure if it was a GL Plus or a standard Freestyler though.
Look at the time, I'm off
