i have flights with sealed bottom bracket the spindle seems a bit loose in the hole is this normal or should it be a tight fit i would imaging the later but would like advise asap as i'm trying to build bike today

yes they should be a shoulder fit nice and tight not over tight thou.if they are loose they will damage the bearing .

The bearing you are using needs a very fine top hat shim to make the internal size smaller. I think the spindle is 19mm and the bearing 3/4" ... could be the otherway around

you might have 20mm bearings
they come in some other brand cranksets
