Day Glo DP's
« on: September 15, 2005, 10:43 PM »
I was justing thinking the other day what ever happened to all the day glo green and pink Dp Freestylers you used to see in BMX Action Bike. Has any one got a frame or complete bike thay would like to show off as it would bring loads of memories. :)

I think there might be a few replys about finding them burnt out behind a garage block in a dodgy looking south London coucil estate !!!! but heres hoping

It's funny i never once saw one of those!  quite a few of my mates had DP's but only in white or chrome......always thought they looked nice though.

and if you're thinking of trying that trick make sure you're mate can bunny hop - or else you'll end up a very bruised bike stand!

I had one a couple of years back where the chrome was extremely dull......when I stripped the bike down there were remnants of pink paint in the bottom bracket and headtube.

I guess DP must have used abrasives on the chrome to get the paint to stick.

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,

My last bike before women and drink took over bitd was a dp - really want to build one to the same spec, does anyone know of a f&f for sale?
