Hi All!

My names Jake, 48 and I live in Ashford near Staines (near London).

Started riding back in 1983 on a Grifter (bad choice, should've picked the Burner I was offered but i hadnt seen ET yet) and rode hard till 1989 when everyone around me stopped riding and I switched like many to skateboarding.

I had a few bikes back then but my favorites was my two Pro-lite Craig Campbell's (one cracked and the other got nicked at South Bank), two Haro Freestylers and a 1988 Haro Team Sport. Sadly, I dont own any of them anymore.

Got back into riding in 2002 when I brought a Hoffman Sugar Baby off a mate which progressed to me buying a brand new Haro Mirra Pro bike. I sold that a couple of years later and supported my sons BMX hobby but didnt ride.

Lockdown came and I brought a 2003 Haro Mirra 540 Air off ebay. I've done it up and am now relearning flatland on it and having a great time!.

You have had some nice bikes in the past.

Just remember most people may be the same age as you and I am sure we are all mentally 13.

to RAD mate, sounds like you are in the right place!
i sold my first nike which i loved in 87/88 to buy a new skateboard deck as my first Vision Gator had finally worn ot after not bothering to replace the Tailbone! i sold it for ?75 and always regretted it,
Fast forward 20 yrs or so and i found myself building a replica of it which i still have...
i was also fortunate enough to own a Pro Lite Craig Campbell in baby blue which i turned into a rep of the Southsea footslap pic with the lavender Uni and tuffs...i still miss it now! Also had a Haro Sport Ron Wilkerson rep too which i loved
Even 8 or 10 yrs ago prices of all this stuff was steep but got utterly ridiculous now...i doubt i will ever build another bike now...
Would love to see any old skate or BMX pics you might have!

Sounds like you've had some cool bikes too!
