Cheers mate, thanks for your comment  :daumenhoch: I enjoyed this build and she came together quickly for a change.

Yeah you're bang on there, I checked the Suzuki's out on the museum. Quite similar but the forks on the Suzuki's are much cooler, a little like the Fuji Feather and Pro forks, cool

OMG The frame pad just popped up for sale on eBay. Very helpful and friendly seller added best offer to the listing and now I'm sorted and the build will be completed properly.
Yes, bloody yes.

Fook me Toby - I've only just studied those catalogue pics in detail to see that "cross" pad and noticed the blingo spec on that MX25 ! DX cranks, DX post.... Mitsuboshi Comp 2's ??  and is that a Shimano or Browning 2 speed derailleur on there I see - wow  :coolsmiley:

Yup, too spec on those MX25's. I haven't looked into those too much because they are like hens teeth and rarely surface, and I could never afford the cranks let alone a complete. There was one on eBay earlier in the year, listed by a seller in Belgium. It wasn't for sale for long. Anything with DX cranks is a bit special for sure. Not sure on the derailleur but I reckon DX. It would make sense. I think they came with Araya rims too. Fully loaded French flying machine.

Just been on the museum. Apparently all Japanese from top to bottom. One has a blue DX shifter pictured too. Also, one of the submissions states that they were banned because of the 2 speed gearing. Too fast I guess. They are damn sexy

OK, today is a good day. The frame pad arrived with a few extras. After a wipe over and gently removing what looked like a few tiny paint splashes, it cleaned up quite well, I'm very pleased indeed. The very kind seller also threw in a slightly damaged frame and bar pad in blue for a Motobecane MX15,  cool. Then I open the Motobecane catalog that the seller had mentioned. Well, fook me, it's actually a catalog from September 1981 and has the MX10 featured in it. It's the same as the one pictured earlier in this thread. I am over the moon with this and it was a wicked surprise, and quite a big deal for me. God bless this eBay seller, what a legend.

Thanks John  fistblump

The crankset was originally bought for my MX113 build. I preferred the look of the Sugino opc and spider though, so it sat about for a while. I definitely think it worked out for the best as they suit the MX10 so much better. Glad you like her.
