U Brake Fix/Upgrade
« on: August 13, 2021, 09:58 PM »
I've started riding my son's Hustle X-Rated a little but the front U Brake is awful.  I've had a quick attempt at adjusting it but it didn't seem to make much difference.  Can anyone make any recommendations?  Is it worth trying new pads/cable or completely replace it?  Ideally, I don't want to spend too much as I may not end up riding it much and the bike only cost ?15.

Thanks, J

A clean, a new cable and a bit of adjustment did the trick.  Now I just need to relearn how to do front hops again, I can only manage two!!!

Thanks, J

I missed this. Yeah usually a clean, grease the brake posts and a spring adjustment brings them back to life :)
