Finally got on the site! I've built up an '81 Robinson pro, even better than the one I bought from Alan Woods in that year when he was in Hindley. Also have an aluminium Race Inc and a 24'' CW mini cruiser. Spent from '78 to '83 goofing around Southport at Mr Scarisbrick's track and the old skatepark on the front, which is now a go kart track. Anyone out there enjoying twinshock motocross and enduro? I'd like to race the Robinson, but can't find any events out there, they all seem to be in Australia....cheers, Pea

Thanks for the welcome fellas. Some photos should be attached, I'll put more stuff on that should be of interest soon. I built the bikes up a good 10 years ago before prices went silly, I can't even remember which one I did first, I think it was the CW cruiser. My mate was building up a Torker at the time and I thought 'why not?' Original chrome on the Robbo and CW, the Robbo frame came from Texas so no rust issues. I live in Formby (red squirrels and footy players), a few miles south of Southport and north of Liverpool. We used to build some good jumps in the National Trust woods here, and I've noticed some of the lads are still doing it. Lots of the tracks have been opened up to bikes now with cycling being promoted, so it's great for a spin, we were forever getting chased by the warden forty years ago.

Spot on mate. Love them..... especially the robbo and race inc.
You're not a million miles from me.... I'm in Knowsley
Fed many a squirrel in Formby over the years and I used to DJ in a place Terry Phillips owned there in the 90s think it was called Falcon Crest

More blasts from the past. The place was called Shorrocks Hill, then Falcons Crest, then back to Shorrocks, it eventually became a gym which has now closed. Bring a bike along with your squirrel nuts next time, you might see Klopp out jogging (most mornings), if you're a red you can give him the nod, if you're a blue you can mow him down
