Hi all... i've got a late model GT Ultrabox with an ISIS  drive euro bb, bought a BLANK euro 22mm bb in order to replace the crankset, but this will not thread in for love nor money. Any one got any thoughts ?

Are you putting the correct sides into the correct sides of the frame? one is reverse threaded and they are specific like pedals, L&R.

I am .. very aware of the grooved  cup/race being for the rhs. god knows, just wondering if there's different threads.. have seen "english " thread advertised, but think i've seen spanish also.. could be wrong .

Spanish is not threaded. English is the same as Euro, IIRC.

Spanish was a smaller mid, but mid seemed to win out (even though it's bigger and thus the bearings are heavier).
