Cheers guys , I've got a tub of the acid that I've had for ages , hopefully it doesn't go off lol , so I might give it a go . Just need to find something big enough to put it in

Don't forget to add things like filled water bottles etc in the gaps, so you don't need to put so much water in

& get yourself some Peek to polish it up afterwards - there's a great chrome polishing thread in the Tech/Resto section (you can skip some of the early section if you're using citric acid)

Just stay away from the tin foils and autosol
