Chrome is still around 350 ish for a frameset........

that sounds about right/normal....

hasn't it always been around 350, one of those trades 'stuck in time'...

Don't forget to add things like filled water bottles etc in the gaps, so you don't need to put so much water in ;)

& get yourself some Peek to polish it up afterwards - there's a great chrome polishing thread in the Tech/Resto section (you can skip some of the early section if you're using citric acid)

Just stay away from the tin foils and autosol  >:D
