1 1/8 Threadless Headset Question
« on: December 07, 2019, 05:15 PM »
I have a New School SE OM Flyer with a factory Tange 1 1/8 Threadless Headset fitted. I want to change the colour. When I have been looking at them on ebay I see there are different types like "fatty"! Being an old schooler this confuses me.  :-[

My question is; I'm looking at different makes but may stick with the Tange. Could someone add a link to a direct replacement on ebay? I've asked a couple of sellers if they know whether they fit and they just reply "measure it"! So I am stumped.  :-[

Would this fit?:

Thanks in advance.

Have you got a pic of what you have?
Fatty could be more MTB as some of them are now 1 1/2

:)  Tange have made a "Fatty" headset for a few years now and it`s a 1 1/8 so should fit BMX just fine.

Thanks for reply chaps.

I can just about make out it reads Tange Terious.

Heres a photo of what I have got. As you can see it just has the old fashioned bearings. I just want to change it to a "sealed" bearing and maybe to silver. Seems a lot of parts in this one.

If someone can add a link to a Tange direct replacement off ebay that would be great. Or a replacement like FSA if they are any good. I think the link in my very first post would be the one to go for? :daumenhoch:

Tange seem to make so many it's confusing. Hopefully my previous post will help. :-[
