BLEACHING WHITE TYRES - ADVICE NEEDED!

Hi fellas,

has anyone successfully beached a creme, once-white tyre back to white?

And if so how did you do it, how long for, and what did you use?

And how did you not bleach the tanwall?

I really (like really!) don't wanna fook up these 35 yr old tyres, so need an approach with little margin for error if poss!

I’ve never heard of anyone bleaching tyres before, but that’s not to say that it can’t be done.

A few years ago, I used trainer whitener, you know the type with the foam pad. It’s quite controllable as in stopping from bleeding on to the tan wall, providing you don’t flood the foam when adding more of the solution, if that makes sense.

I used the hanbrake’s hairdryer to cure it once applied.

Worked well for me.

+1 I would go with the idea above. Give them a good clean first. 

Bleach is good on seats as I have done it a number of times. But keep checking as it will eventually turn yellow. As for tan/skin walls never known anyone to do it so be careful if you do.

Many thanks fellas! A couple of guys on the Facebook Rad group mentioned hydrogen peroxide too, so will work out which way to go I guess. Many thanks for replies!
