Skyway cassette drivers
« on: February 21, 2019, 10:35 AM »
Hi Guys,
I'm new here, thanks for the ad.
I hope someone can help me please to find a 13t or similar sized RH cassette driver for skyway tuff II wheels?
I currently have a 9t cassette with a 28t sprocket on the front (can't go any smaller on the front 'cos the break caliper is on the bottom stay and need the height for the chain to clear) but it's too high a gear for my son to easily ride so want to fit an easier gear, any ideas what I can get?
The skyway driver has 4 pairs of pawls. Have tried an Odyssey driver but it only had 3 pairs of pawls so was slipping.

Thanks in advance.
Gareth. North Wales

Hi Gareth, welcome to Rad.

Might be worth putting a thread on the technical section and title it "who makes 4-pawl cassette sprockets" or similar to catch someone with better knowledge than me to answer it for you :coolsmiley:

I'm 99% sure my Profile 10t driver was 4, but I've drank a lot since the last time I cleaned it and sold the bike last year so can't check.... :-\

Edit: looks like you can only go to an 11t cassette....

Pretty sure at one point Odyssey changed from 4 to 3 pawls in their drivers.
Are you sure that the tuffs use an Odyssey clone driver?
I know Salt drivers are the same as Odyssey drivers as I’m using one on a bike.
Have you got any pics?
