bmx explosion
« on: September 21, 2006, 05:48 AM »
Went out riding Sunday. Left the bike in the car for the rest of the day. On Monday morning, the back of the car was covered with strewn bits of newspaper.  I didn't understand where it came from at first.Untyil I moved the bike.Seems the sunshine was a bit too hot for my tyre pressure. The bike wheel was sitting on a newspaper, and it blew it to pieces, and tore a 2 inch rip through every page of my road map.  Not much left of the inner tube either oops lesson learnt.. :LolLolLolLol:

I can recall going past a garage in the 80's and there was a bike in the forecourt with an airhose attached, and an innertube that had pushed through the tire which was getting bigger & bigger.
I don't know if someone had forgotten about it, or just left it there and ran off.

BANG!

I had one burst in the middle of the night and thought a gun had gone off downstairs. It was when I had my tyres at 100 psi.
