You already may have considered this yourself, but I just googled "profile cranks insallation" in hope to find pictures of old 80's installation guides. I found some videos om how to insatll them instead.
In the videos mainly profile racing elite cranks have been used, so I don't know how much they or their installtion differs from the ones you have.
Edit: Sorry, I should have considered that those in the picture aren't for an os-bike.

Thanks Andy! I’ve seen those videos and it was actually those that made me think that I needed the Profile tool! I think that I can make do without one by sliding the arms on the spindle and rubber-malleting them into place but just wanted to double-check before I damage anything!

Perhaps get a piece of round bar stock aluminium or brass to drift the spindle out if removal is required in the future. Rubber mallet or piece of hard wood and hammer for fitment.

Thanks Dave! I only ever had opcs bitd and the Crupi has a 2-piece crank, so I'm popping my 3-piece cherry with these Profiles!

Thanks to more help from Dave (thanks mate), my cherry is now well and truly popped! Had to resort to a hammer and blocks of wood at both ends of the spindle to get the driveside arm on but the non-drive side arm just needed a rubber mallet. Pictorial evidence over in the main thread!
