Here`s one of my current winter builds it`s Dave Freimuth`s 1992 Standard Bykes "Gardner" Lengthy. The finish on the frame is the original from 1992 untouched. The finish is white paint over satin chrome with tons of surviving era correct decals. The frame has all of it`s original "Spraycan Guy" Standard decals which are my favorites. I have only seen four frames in the last 10 years surface with the original "Spraycan Guy" decals. I`ve owned this frame for many years and I`m stoked to finally have the time and correct parts to put it together.

That’s awesome, you can’t beat a survivor with a bit of history, friemuth was one of the best ramp riders to do it.

Love the frame, awesome. Does the down tube pierce into the BB shell?
I'm sure the gardiner frames had the block print standard stickers, the running man stickers were done later on for the first Waterford standards (October 93...)
The forks are amazing!

The down tube does not pierce the bottom bracket on this frame. This frame is serial number G177 , I currently have four Garnder frames G125,Prototype,G177,G182, I also owned and sold Joe Rich`s 92 Lengthy G138. Of all these frames only G182 which is a Shorty has the pierced down tube bottom bracket combo.

Cool. I remember Bulge's gardiner standard at backyard 93.. It looked like something from outer space...
The pierced bb looked nuts - I asked Rick about them and I think he had realised it was overkill..

Here are a couple pictures of the seat post I`m using on the build. The seat post is a original raw finish Standard Bykes prototype knurled seat post I think the finish matches the forks well.

Well after many hours trying to figure out the parts selection for this build and doing the final assembly this is what I came up with. As always every part on this bike is original finish and decals and period correct. This was a build I have been wanting to do for a long time and I`m stoked with the way it turned out and hope you guys are too.  This build is exactly what you would have seen in RideBMX in 1992/93 , Enjoy !!!!
