Same garage different bike !
« on: November 06, 2018, 08:55 PM »
Hi guys,

I thought I’d share a few pics of my 2nd build. Most parts on this build like my first were all reduced or sale items. The frame didn’t sell on fleabay so I thought sod it I’ll see what I can do on the cheap. From memory here’s the spec list ( if you’re interested )

Frame - Blank Grizzly 21” ( mk1 ) - Black
Forks - Blank Generation III - Black
Wheels - Seal Progression - Black
Tyres - Maxxis Hookworm
Bars - Fiction Troop - Chrome
Headset - Snafu - Fontanel - Black
Stem - Academy Pro Top Load - Rainbow
Grips - ODI Stay Strong Single Ply - Purple
Brake Lever - Seal Progression - Black
Brake - Academy Pro - Rainbow
Crankset ( inc bb ) - Blank Generation III - Black
Sprocket  - Academy Pro 25t - Rainbow
Pedals - Seal Progression Alloy - Black
Seat Post - BSD Blitzed XL - Polished
Seat - Savage Plastic Pivotal- Purple
Chain - KMC Z510 HX - Silver
Dust Caps - Alloy Bullet - Rainbow
I decided not to use the factory decals on the frame because I didn’t think the color complimented the components. Heavy on red, brown and some grey too, I think. What do you guys think, go custom or use the factory supplied ??? I also took of the decals that were on the forks to keep a cleaner look. I’m going to remove the Source Park freebie stickers but only when I know what’s going on. I know the seat post is long but I wanted to be able to sit whilst rolling and you don’t see too many new schools showing that much post.

So there it is, slight ugly duckling but I’m pleased with how it turned out. What do you guys think ???

Since ya askin.............I like it :daumenhoch:
as spen said, clean looking but looks like it's going to be ridden! I'm a sucker for oil slick parts  :D
Personally would change the seat to one of them padded ones and I would leave the decals as are.
Nice job.
😜🔫 i may look like I'm listening to ya,
but in my head I'm thinking about bmx 😜🔫

Nice job.

Fair point about the seat, it was only £6 and a good colour match. Is a tad small for my old arse 😳.
Thanks for taking time to look and comment Daza 👍🏼

I'd drop the seat - not for fashion reasons, but because I doubt there's much left in the frame.. One big sit down landing and you'd crack the seat stay junction...

Yeah, I thought it could be vulnerable too. The post is inserted to the safety mark but I think you’re right, the frame is at risk and not the post. Most likely the most air I’ll be catching is jumping off the odd curb though... 😂
