1978 Robinson *FINISHED*
« on: October 16, 2018, 10:38 AM »
Well it's about time I started another build . My second 1978 Robinson. Winter build  :)

You'll all remember my first was stolen earlier this year  :'(  :knuppel2:

This is on her way to SDB and the parts are begging to assemble  :)

OG Robinson bars that came with the F&F  :smitten:  I've got grips, tyres, seat clamp, seat, Cranks, Reedy pedals and headset so far . It's not going to be exactly the same. i'll never find another Cook Bros stem.  :'(

Looking for a double clamp Redline stem if anyone has one ?

Looking forward to this Carl.

It’s not my era and know very little about bikes/parts from then, but thankfully the likes of yourself and Ash, are here to educate us.

Love those sexy cranks but you're going to have to educate me about that PLME clamp as I don't think I've seen one before! :coolsmiley:

Not the prettiest of seat clamps but the right era . Don't see many of them on builds .  It's OG black, think i'll be leaving it that way .

Loving this already Carlos! Those grips! Those cranks!
I’d love to do a vintage build one day ... it would be a proper education for me ...
This will be amazing when it’s done Mr B! ...can’t wait  :4_17_5:

Thanks Mate .. fistblump   I'm really looking forward to finishing this one as it's replacing one that was stolen.

Never easy finding the correct parts for a 70's build.

No, they all didn’t have them .  People did this to set the rear brake as a V brake
