Here are the official Show and Shine categories, the entry criteria and the guidelines for how we judge the bikes.
We will be holding registration for the show and shine on Sunday morning outside the main tent.
----------------------------------------
Radbmx® Milton Keynes Show and Shine Entry criteria and rules.
PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL SHOW AND SHINE CATEGORIES ( WITH THE EXCEPTION OF MIDSCHOOL, NEW SCHOOL RETRO AND 'BUILT TO RIDE' ) ARE JUDGED TO A CONCOURS STANDARD WHICH MEANS THAT REPRODUCTION PARTS, HEAVILY REFINISHED PARTS AND INCORRECT ERA PARTS WILL BE MARKED DOWN
In all mid school categories survivor and concours standard builds will be judged with equal merit
Please remember to give as much information on the front/back of your entry card, or please put additional information with your entry. The more information we have about an entry the better, the more informed a decision we can make.
All bikes that are to be entered have to be in the show & shine tents on the Sunday which will make it easier on the judges, so they do not have to walk all over the event looking for bikes. Bikes outside of the main arena will not be considered.
YOU MUST BRING YOUR OWN BIKE STAND - we do not supply them and any bike without one will be disqualified. Please note that leaning a bike against the tent post or another bike does not count as having a stand.
Judging this year will be per category i.e. we have separate judges for each category. This way the job will only take 30 minutes instead of all afternoon.
We will have a judging over-lord from the RADBMX Admin (all hail the over-lord), whose decision is final in the event of a tie or problem with a bike.
Prizes are 1st, 2nd, 3rd trophies along with a highly commended medal for one more entry per category.
