JUNE 2018 BOTM - Entry Thread
Go on then John, I’ll start the proceedings...

Genuine factory made black 93 Hoffman Condor, and the only one known to still exist. Believed by some to be one of Mat’s old frames due to some dropout damage which it still has on it as seen in video clips of him riding a black 93, but who knows for sure. These were the rarest of the rare and all pre serial.

Anyway the spec is as follows:

1993 SE made Hoffman Condor frame.
1993 SE made Hoffman Condor forks.
1993 SE made Hoffman Patriot bars.
1993 SE made Hoffman Micky Post
Black and White ODI mushroom grips.
TNT fs stem.
Dia Compe Tech 77 levers.
Dia Compe Nippon front calliper.
Dia Compe AD990 rear brake.
White Dia Compe fs brake blocks, front and rear.
Odyssey gen 1 gyro.
Odyssey cables.
Odyssey Z77 Saddle.
YST headset.
Redline single pinch half wrap cranks.
Fusion chainring.
DX style pedals.
Peregrine Superpro wheels.
Cheng Shin freestyle tyres.
Dicta 16t freewheel.
Izumi chain.

I love a build with an original bike shop sticker....
When I was born, the world was a far simpler place.
It was all just cops and robbers.
And BMX.

1988 Skyway 300TA

My Grail... I have wanted one of these for ages and started collecting the odd part or two the past few years with this build in mind. Then a year or so ago I managed to buy the frameset. The Bullseye hubs on this bike were given to me by Ken Coster & Rein Stolz, they had been sat unused in the Skyway office for the last 37 years!

Cable - Dia-Compe (Dated 1988)
Brake Pads - Dia-Compe
Seat - Skyway Viscount Dominator
Seat Post - Ishiwata Chromolly Straight Post
Seat Clamp - Dia-Compe MX Hinged
Cranks - Redline 401 Flight Crank (Single Pinch Full Wrap)
Bottom Bracket - Redline
Chainring - Redline Bubble Font 43t
Pedals - Suntour XC
Rims - Araya 20x1.75 7X Chrome
Hubs - Bullseye 1st Gen
Tyres - Tioga Comp 3 Rainbow Label
Chain - Izumi
Freewheel - Shimano MX30
Padset - Skyway Original
Number Plate - Haro Tech Series (Original)
