While I’ve been squirreling parts away for this build over the winter, what I didn’t actually do was lay them all out as I would normally do, so when I’ve started to build. I’ve hit a few snags.

I only had half the parts for the Tange BB I had - so bought one off Andy Marr, I have the wrong size headset cups - hopefully Jaymz is sorting me out?? And I had no seat guts - my Torker is now seatless. But, I did fit the seat clamp, and assembled the crank, chainring and chainring bolts.

Stuck our Amber in front of Peppa Pig for and hour so I had chance to fit Avro’s mint Tange MX2 headset with my Tange locknut, I removed the old grips, polished the bars and added the new grips complete with stem.

The wheels which were originally off my old Kuwie have brake rub on the rear and the spokes have dulled, so they’re currently having a sprucing up.

Wheels and tyres cleaned and back on (with nylon washers - for now), stem and seat clamp tightened up.

Another hour spent on it so managed to near enough finish it. So on went the Sugino crank I had rechromed a few years ago, a Tange BB, Sugino spider I had on the spares shelf and a NOS 44t Sugino. The Shimano PDMX pedals went on too along with a Repop Tech 3 and a copy MX1000 and generic cable. The padset is from the original build so now there’s only the chain to fit and the brake to adjust, then we’re done.

I wasn't joking when I said I liked the raw finish but man, that yellow's such a sexy colour it's hard not to like this bike! Great job mate! :4_17_5:

Thanks lads, it’s the nice comments from the  :radbmxsmilie: forum members albeit only a few, that makes the effort in a build thread all that more worthwhile, it’s realky appreciated.

Mick, I’d love to do a raw finish with a clear coat one day, just not on the GT, I’m getting hung for the decals as it is.  :2funny:
