Gyro needed
« on: December 19, 2017, 01:13 PM »
So after picking up an Eastern Element, it has the front brake going through the headstem but a slingle cable to the rear.

As I fancy a bit of flatland, I'd like a gyro. It has the lugs already on the headtube, so can anyone recommend a decent kit?

Vocal sealed one. Lovely

Now, being old school, I've not a clue how that would fit. Does it just sit between the top tube and the headstem?

Actually, on looking, I guess I would need a new stem too as I only have the tabs on the top tube

:) You`d just need a gyro plate but check to see if your stem is drilled for gyro tabs too.The steerer tube on your forks loooks real short so may not be much room on there for a gyro..  https://www.customriders.com/7461/products/vocal-bmx-flat-gyro-plate-purple.aspx?currency=GBP&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIt6

Dude get a complete vocal budget gyro kit from custom riders they work good. You may need to pee about with spacers under the stem, or get a slightly thinner clamp area stem (the one you have there is a beast)

Only £13. You don't need the lower bit of it as you have the tabs on the frame.
Whilst you're there order one of these too.

I reckon if you plumped for a fresh pair of grips too you'd go over £30 and get free post  fistblump

And move those bars forward a bit so they're in line with the forks

Which is more embarrassing? Porn accessories or BMX shop browsing?

In all honesty.... I'm not sure  ;D I've also just remembered, I'm still to pick up my £17 Mongoose win from eBay, which seems to have a gryo on, so going to grab that this weekend and see about swapping any good parts around.
