Yeah I used to have a mini paint oven. Basically a shoe box with a hole cut in the end, insert hair dryer, place in painted part and bake. Just don't use it on plastic models (as I found out lmao).

Thing is it was late and they were dangling in a bike box on strings. So I just left them over night :) they're on the rad now.

I haven't forgotten about this. When I painted the traps into etch I did so with them hanging on strings. Which was bad, because they kept spinning around. So I had to waste a ton of primer just to get them coated and damn near gassed myself, FFS.

So yesterday I came up with this cunning plan using an old brake.

So they now have their base coat. I have some sealer (it's clear) that stops paint reacting and eliminates crazing/spider webs etc. Due to the paints all being different I think it's a good idea. Will leave them a couple of days to harden up good on the rad, then tack cloth and put on some blue.
