BMX Race Exotica - Daylight!

Was going to post this over in the new school racing section but think it's worthy of a wider audience! At yesterday’s race meeting at Midoriyama one of the guys in my class rolled up on a brand spanking new frameset! Here’s a few shots of the complete:-
The frame was a Daylight ARC c1 and the forks were Ciara Ottomatic, neither brand of which I’d heard of before (being a new school newbie) but man they were beautiful! Don’t get me wrong, I love my Crupi and have no plans to change it but this bike was flippin' lush!! Here are some close-up pics, starting with the frame and its cool-as-fook headtube badge:-
& I absolutely love these forks - good old fashioned chromoly with tapered legs!
The owner was keen to point that the bike is not yet finished, as he'd transferred some of the parts over from his previous bike to give it its race debut. Still looked amazing to me, and neither did it stop him from beating me in the races!!

That head badge is a work of art in itself, and the little touches like the stay brace, the rear drops and welds, are awesome. Beautiful looking frame for sure.
I nearly bought a Technique because of the design, beautiful welds, and pure sexy stance it has. I may be tempted to upgrade my TA frame set

Tis a nice bike.
From memory they are apparently one of the stiffest new school frames out there from its design.
Interesting to see its the V Brake version though. Daylight is one of those brands that are pushing towards Disc Brakes on the rear.

Went to a race meeting in Canada a couple of weeks ago and although I missed the racing, I did spot a Daylight truck and race bike!

I'm guessing that'll be used for warming up before and between races rather than in them. Unless of course the rider's not worried about harming their chances of fatherhood!

That's ^^^^ funny!
Spotted another one of these frames over here, at the Kawaguchi race track a few weekends ago. Those middle-aged men, well the Japanese ones at least, certainly don't hold back on their bike budgets!
