GT forkstanders gen2 question...

Hi everbody,

today I've been at a BMX-event, they also had a show and shine contest there. Anyways, I 've spotted three bikes that also had the "same" forkstanders I have...GT generation-2 .
What got me thinking was theirs didn't have a number stamped on the inside (mine says 709). What's the difference between gen.2 with a number and those without one.

I guess one with the stamped number is a 90's reissue version, but don't know for sure?

Maybe I do Nick, but this happens sometimes if one tries to figure things out on his own.

My NOS chrome are marked 708. The painted ones don’t have any numbers at all.

708 riuns my present theory  - but thanks for telling me, that's the info I'm after.
