Haro Revo
« on: September 27, 2017, 10:22 PM »
I sold my multi coloured yellow Zippo not long ago, and quickly regretted it. As a bike for ride outs they are brilliant, loads of room and proper comfy. I've been looking on and off at Zippos and Revos for a while. I was hoping to get a cheap rough one and build it scratch but a change of plan happened this week when the best one I've seen in ages came up for sale. A deal was struck and I picked it up last night. It's a 1997 bike, and very original, but someone has changed the bars and they don't look right, so they need to be swapped at some point. Not going to be much of a build thread as there's not much that needs done to it, but it'll put pics up of any changes made.

I think Ed has some two piece Haro bars in chrome that would work on there  :daumenhoch:
Do you grovel to your master? Do you beg like a dog?

I don't understand who it is that buy all those clowned bikes, nor all the tarted up p.o.s. bikes, on ebay? There's clearly loads being bought, but by who?
Actual old school riders who are getting legitimately caught out?
Hipsters jumping on the band wagon and buying anything vaguely vintage?
Parents thinking they are buying the real deal?

As you know already. Love this. Just needs black 2 piece bars and plastic fusion pedals and its spec.

I have seen some done properly. Like painted green front end chrome rear and they look quite good. Wouldn't mind doing one myself, but, I would take most of those dropouts off with an angle grinder for starters  :LolLolLolLol:

I like the Revo. I had both a chrome Shredder DLX (my first bike in the mid school) and then later a yellow Cozmo. Both were fantastic to ride. Used to use them as transport to work :)
