Ebay clamp down
« on: September 22, 2017, 10:51 AM »
So ebay are looking to clamp down on deals done outside of ebay. Be interesting to see how effective the clampdown is. Either they need people reading everyone's messages or a generic keyword filter. Either way there will be ways round it no doubt for those who like the odd snipe
Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

Ebay is an amazing market place, insane to even argue against that.
However, at a market you meet both buyer and seller, you chat, you deal...it is inevitable. If you invoke a market then expect a market.
I do wish the buy/sell/trade was more active here, I will try to make a contribution more often although I am looking far more than selling.

Most of, if not all, my best deals (both for me and the seller) have been mutually agreed; that is they took place outside of certain terms and conditions. I am sure this is true for many if not all.

I do not do Facebook but I continue to hear that sales are there, go there etc. Is this an Ebay v Facebook thing? Forums are clearly on a downturn, despite the format being perfect for niche interests. The thread and post format, new thread and post, new thread and no interest and everything inbetween seems so flexible. Is it that other formats intertwine social networking? Bah...If this were dial up we would be claiming to be warlocks or witches, depending on which small ad we replied to (or was that just me...Serious!?)
