RADster down ....... Tony Lee
« on: August 07, 2017, 10:14 PM »
As some of you are aware Tony (Torkerdude180) had a big off while jumping some bikes on Carl's RADleigh ride on Saturday  :(

He went to Hospital and after X Rays and a CT scan it was found he had suffered 5 compression fractures , 1 of these is causing a bit of concern and Tony had a MRI scan on this this morning . We are awaiting the result of this scan . He was transferred from Wigan to Salford Royal (specialist spinal unit in our area) .

I have spoken with him tonight and he was in good spirits , we managed a laugh and a joke  ;)

He thanks everyone for their best wishes , PM's and FB messages etc . Please feel free to wish him well on this thread or via PM etc but please be aware he is basically flat out with a neck brace on and is finding it hard to use his phone . Please dont be offended if he doesnt reply to messages . I know from what he has said he really appreciates them  ;) :daumenhoch:

Fingers crossed the MRI scan brings some good news and we can get our T back fit and healthy asap .

I am in constant contact with his good lady Katherine and will update you all on his condition as soon as possible .

Thanks

Joff  :)

I've messaged him myself and got a ❤️ back, that'll do for me. This lad's tough, he'll be reet.

Joff, remember him in Blackpool in 2012 when he tried to bunny hop up that 4" kerb and went over the bars? What a helmet   :D

Seriously our Tone, take it easy pal and get well soon.

Cheers for the news Joffy.  :4_17_5:

Thanks for the update Joff.

Never met Tony in person, but I've seen that scary picture of his landing. It didn't look funny at all, as he came down head first in a very bad angle.
Knock on wood it all may turn out fine and Tony will be on his feet again soon.

Healing vibes from me as well.  fistblump

UPDATE .....

This is the text I have just received from Katherine ..... We have decided to have the brace fitted & docs seem in favour of this. They have said after 6 weeks if it's not working he will need surgery, but they seem quite optimistic that it should work as he is active & pretty fit & in good health. Brace needs to be ordered can take a few days, if they are happy with the fit he can be home maybe by weekend. Which seems amazing to me when I see him in his bed at the minute. The brace will be fitted for at least 3 months, looking towards Xmas for life to be something like normal for him.

...... Not the best news  :(but let's be honest and say this could have been a whole lot worse . I guess we all have to be positive and give Tony and his family our full support and best wishes which I know you guys will   ;) :daumenhoch:

Andy ( Cheeta) and Ant (Factory pilot) are in the process of setting up a donation page to help Tony , Katherine and Amelia through this difficult time . As soon as it is live I will get the details up (or Cheeta /Ant will )  :daumenhoch:
