It was because Freewheeler Leisure Products decided that they would withdraw completly from the bmx market, and it was them who distributed the Prolite range. This meant that Craig no longer had a sponsor, and the deal with him going back on to Skyway was that Peter Hawkins and Craig could not have anything to do with Prolite, so Peter told me at last years Southsea reunion anyway
Would certain Prolites be worth good money nowadays then?

I chucked one in the bin around 1995, they were really badly made - it had about 20 cracks in it
it was ridden by about 4 people and was cracked in a few places around the seattube and platform and also above and behind the BBit was really rusty too, a total wreckalthough AD lugs had been welded on at some point so that probably weakened it

Peter Hawkins has a chrome Prolite, frame number 001. nice.
Rom bloke has first digs on it when I get home and manage to strip it down
