I was rummaging through a sale box in a Tokyo BMX shop the other day and found these 2 cogs in an unmarked bag. The only marking they have on them is the tooth size, and from what I can gather by looking at the splines and digging around online, they're either older Shimano DX cogs or Shimano-compatible ones. Being a bit of a newbie when it comes to cassette hubs, does anyone recognize 'em? Thanks in advance!

Nice little find Mick. They look like they could well fit Shimano cassette hubs. There were two different versions for BMX though and I think the cog fitting was different on them. Unfortunately I haven't got one here to check for sure. Suntour also made a BMX cassette hub. I guess they'd most likely be for a Japanese brand

Thanks for posting that Paul. The teeth on those cogs look to be directional (not sure if that's the right word but you know what I mean!) whereas mine aren't. However, I've seen some others that look more like mine, so maybe there were 2 versions.
