ID for Raleigh Burner
« on: July 09, 2017, 08:16 PM »
Hi Guys, new here.
Just picked up this Raleigh Burner, I used to have a GT back in the day.

I think it's an Aero pro but hoping someone can confirm this or not.
Any help really appreciated.
Many Thanks
Milfredo

im pretty sure all the round tubed-MK1 and tear-dropped-MK2 pro models, had three holes in the rear drop outs and were made buy "TANGE" :-\  I had two BITD one chrome and the other painted back in 91, both scavenged out of my local council tip fistblump, unluckily not complete one was missing a back white skyway and the other the seat/post/brakes :coolsmiley: the chrome one was my fav as I never liked the cheesy TEAM RALIEGH livery, plus it had the ARAYA C/aero rims and only the rear needed new spokes, cos they were very loose and rusty/seized up >:D that cost my £25 and I swapped the needed MX1000s and seat+post off the other, my mate used the frame to replace he bent and cracking SCROPION.. OH HOW I WISH I HAD A TIME MACHINE ::) ::) ::) ::)

Forks are similar but not the same (holes in the fork dropouts)
and the rear dropouts are completely different (these ones are more akin to Redline but this ain't no Redline either).  :LolLolLolLol:

i completely forgot that the seattube ovalizies like a SKYWAY TA, I learnt feeble grinds on mine and killed the drop-outs >:D they were never built for mid-school street, mind you neither were the 3inch GT TUBE RIDERS ;D ;D ;D ;D
