The Usual Suspect Sessions
@ Rom Friday 21st July

Private sessions for the older rider... over 30 is the science... over 40 is the norm.

Whether you are '7ft out' or 'rolling in for the first time' ... all riders welcome. The equation is ( Great parks x riding ) + banter = goodtimes.

Sessions every 2 weeks all through the year. Usually £10 to ride ... usually evening sessions ...

This is a one off summer gathering at the legendary Rom ... if you have never ridden it ... you need to. The heritage of this park is deep ... DEEP. Every rider of any status and skill has ridden Rom. Riding there is truly awesome and worth making the effort to take that day off work.

Special note : people are going to turn up from 11am ... but its not a Private Session this time.

Just to help out, it is at Rom Skatepark, Upper Rainham Road, Hornchurch, Essex, RM12 4ES

So the next question is - when? I assume Friday 21st July but the thread says 8th July?

Well as Fridays go this one couldn't have been much better

Visited Rom today and it exceeded all my expectations, even for a beginner level rider like me there's loads to do and the guys that came out to play were on top form. Ian and John were very welcoming too

Highlights of the trip for me
Ed taking on the performance bowl - dropping into a 9' concrete bowl took some 'testicular fortitude'
Little Azur who turned up with his dad Cedric and shredded the whole place. Amazing considering that he only turned FOUR last month

It was really nice to meet you all as well! This session was amazing.
Azur ( I am his dad, Cedric, as he is only 4 I manage his accounts...) had a loads of fun.
He felt he was part of a community and that is what count the most, when you ride, having fun and sharing it with friends!

That's the reservoir mate. Used to be a lot more fun hen it wasn't full of wood to be honest. Still a good craic though.

As soon as the doc signs me off I will be back as days like this are what BMX is about - having a great time with your mates (obviously in Ed's case with people who he pays to go with him and talk to him)......
