I remember I was fummin' when they printed this, the only trick I ever invented, stolen!
In hindsight I did get props in the invert review of the 20 video for it..

Rob's list of tyres he used round that time is
Comp St ramps
*Blast gumwalls*
Some semi slick things from halfords
Some redlines things similar to the comp St ramps
Can't
Find
Anything
Decent
Out
Of
All
Of
The
Fookers
"BLAST" these were the tyres I remember being on one of his hooligan set ups, they were 2inch wide had good tough side walls and very fast tread ;) far better than crappy COMP-STREETS sidewalls which died after a couple grinds, my mate ground his BLAST/PROLITEs on pretty much every WALL/LEDGE/H-RAIL in west yorkshire >:D they finally went through the running surface after a about 6-8 months :slayer: :slayer: :slayer: :slayer:

"cyclesport uk" sold them for a £8.99 each back in the mid 90s, that's 15.98 for a pair of bullet proof tyres fancy that now a days :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2: :crazy2:

Were they the tyres that were like a grooved slick & inflated up really big, like a 2.2?

yes there was two versions a "minimal tread" and the "cut slick" you mentioned, both were amazingly tough and made your wheels bomb proof ;) ;) ;) ;)

I had some of the 'cut slick' one's, yes they were real tough but air'd up so big I could hardly get the back one in the rear triangle  :LolLolLolLol:
The ones I had were labelled as Prolite  :daumenhoch:

Just to rub it in I went in Cyclesport a few years after those tyres came out & they had a big stack of them in the corner upstairs, selling for a few quid!  :LolLolLolLol:

I have some in dark grey, not quite as bad as the green!
Going right off topic, I miss the old Cyclesport shop. A proper treasure trove of old/mid school  :daumenhoch:
Where else could you go in the 2000's and buy anything from an old Redline to a NOS Standard Shorty frame! They even had an '88 Sport complete hanging off the ceiling they couldn't shift!

Never went there 😖
Spoke to Dan a few times before he left, did sound like a great place to have a dig about. Told me about all sorts of stuff still there, funny how none of it popped up in the eBay clear out auctions ..

Managed to pick up some better grips at MK off robbing Sen.....
Still no luck on't tyres, I've old black wall v monsters & general consensus was they'd be better than what's on now .

I'm not going to strip it right down as I first thought, de grease, blast with hose & lube her up. Looking at using owltron oil to preserve the patina it's got
