Hi all,

I'm trying to date/identify these vector bars. Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I have three sets , one original and two 2014 re-makes.
All sets don't have the knurling on the stem section.
They may have come off the Haro Mike D rep 2014 bike  :-\
Real men have Dachshunds I have three / now two 😓 missing you../ back too three with a rescue dachie

Pretty sure first gen Haro Vectors were knurled, later ones weren't knurled as they were no longer marketed as Haro Signature bars, but I could be wrong.

Hi Ady, I'm pretty sure these are not Mike Ds nor remakes which have the 'haro 2014' stamp.

Pretty sure first gen Haro Vectors were knurled, later ones weren't knurled as they were no longer marketed as Haro Signature bars, but I could be wrong.

Hey MartyC, The knurling started on the 3rd gen from what I've read, and they were marketed as 'Unlimited'.

I've been reading the whole morning trying to gather more info, so far I have this (this info might not be completely correct, it comes from stuff I've read here and other forums and comparing pictures):

1st gen: ~1982-83 'Bob Haro Signature Series', USA made, no knurling, no potts mod bolt, clear background decals (red 'vector bmx' decal), L-shaped wedge, width 28", .049" wall tubing.
2nd gen: ~1983 Renamed 'Bob Haro Replica' (Bob no longer sponsored), USA made, same as above except for a higher crossbar height.
3rd gen: ~1984 Renamed 'Unlimited', USA made, knurling on stem shaft, thicker tubing gauge .065", Potts mod bolt, black background decals, width 28.5.
4th gen: ~1984-85 Still called 'Unlimited', Taiwan made ('made in Taiwan' and min. height marks stamped on stem shaft), same as above except for: no knurling,  slanted wedge.

According to this, The ones I posted should be 3rd gen 'Unlimited' then.

Please chime in if you have more info!

Jon

Good work Jon, I knew somewhere along the way they had knurling, I just remembered it the wrong way round!
