Hutch 1985, The Judge Build (my first build)

This was my first build and have not been collecting for very long since owning my first BMX in the 80's which is a long time ago. I bought the frame and forks from Ian MacArthur along with headset and Hutch 2in1. I also bought at first the Hutch Western race stem and early Hutch bars with the thin cross bar which are in their original chrome.
To make my life easier we then agreed on another purchase which included the Zap pads, plate, comp3 tyres and Kashimax seat. I also bought some grips but have since changed these.
I bought some redline cranks for it as well as some Ukai wheels with Bullseye hubs but decided I wanted to go a step further and went hunting for more hutch.
Having got some yellow Z rims for my Quad I took the Pro Class wheels from it and stripped them sending them and some OG Hutch beartraps off to Mark Smith for polishing and the results were mega.
After many inquiries and a journey to the lakes I managed to get hold of an original never fitted to a bike Hutch Grips. I also got a original set of Aero speed cranks.
I was going to use the Bulls eye hubs but Paul Mchale came up trumps with some Hutch Hour Glass ones, I then sent them off to Danny to build. Paul also sold me a Hutch seat post which came in its original wrapper. Ian also sold me the brake set up. The power disc came from John Moore which was exactly what I wanted, the bolts came a different blue so I had them painted.
Being my first build I found it amazing how much help you get when looking for parts and I can not thank individuals enough. I am still on the lookout for a Hutch seat, rad caps and I will change the tyres at some stage. All in all though I am very happy with it, I am sure I could have done better but please be gentle with me.

Thank you for your comments, I really love the thing and hope to change a couple more bits to get it just right. I have really enjoyed meeting and talking with those that have helped me.
I have entered it into BOTM so let’s see how it does, it has some stiff competition.

Stunning
Building a Hutch myself, only a Pro Raider, but that's cost me enough! This baby must have set you back a few pennies!

hi Brian, if I hear of any I will be in touch, it took a long time to find the cranks. I have a couple of sets of pedals which I collected whilst on the journey, one set is going on a build I am doing right now, not sure if I want to sell the others but lets see.
