Man cave advice .. Best way to fix bikes to the wall?
« on: February 13, 2017, 08:50 PM »
It finally looks like my beloved BMXs are finally going to have a new home ....  I'm converting the garage to be my official man cave!

I've got a pretty long straight wall and want to display as many as I can on it.

I definitely don't want them to look like this ....

I want the bars and pedals to look normal so ...

I want them like this ....

Or this ..

I obviously don't want to damage any of them so are wary of those attached to pedals ...

These look good but would take up too much room I think..

How do you do yours and what do you use and where can I purchase them?

Thanks in advance for all your help lads!

Ant

Looks cool mate! I really want them side on ... I haven't got as many as you so they can take up more room!  :daumenhoch:

Pesonally, I'd hang them from the ceilng, near the wall on some stainless chain, hanging from the ceiling is awesome

Sixteen thirty-two. What is that? A year?   No, it's your top score on Pole Position.

The green performer is actually mine and hung them with these:

A Mottez Bike hanger, the the balance point means the the front wheel will hang low so you need something under the front tyre too.

I ended up swapping them out to hang the bikes instead due to lack of wall space.

That's cool  ... Cool I potentially use a second Mottez for the front wheel rather than building extra platforms ?

That performer looks great on the wall!

My only concern is damage to the frame ?

Also will these work on twin top tubes?

Sorry for all the questions ..., your answers and help are greatly appreciated  fistblump

The red Mottez is the one that the pedals hangs in...

I put some foam tape on them to skip metal on metal
