This is my baby

. I'm running it on the Saturday this year. There has been interest in the past but it's been dismissed as to hard to Judge . I will be outlining strict rules.There will be Trophies and medals as the SS classes.

It will be held in the main Marquee.

This is to gauge interest at the moment .

Please support this as it's been muted for years but I'm prepared to take this on.

This will take place in the main Marque starting at 1pm Saturday. Entry closes at 2-30pm and prize giving at 3pm. Bring a pen as I will b handing out A4 paper so you can give us any relevant information on the bikes . No names on bikes so no bias. Oh and no stand no entry . No rules no arguments . If you fancy a go at judging see me Saturday morning.

Why not have two sections... Total survivor and Survivor builds ?
Let's hope the entrants are honest enough to admit which class their bike falls into otherwise they may find themselves subjected to their very own " what a

" thread for cheating.

Hmm my survivor tap burner , has been stripped and cleaned/regreased
and put back together no new parts at all and nothing painted or restored ,

Can of worms indeed.
When I read this I immediately thought about putting my Laserlite together; a collection of 'survivor' parts but bought as a frame/fork/seatpost/handlebar and a few other handy parts. Other parts are from my box of bits or newly purchased.

Personally I think building a bike entirely out of survivor parts is much harder than building a restored or NOS build. Finding a collection of parts with similar patina and from the same era that isn't just a pile of "old stuff" takes time, but for me the end result just cant be beat. Really looking forward to this class and all the bikes in it.

I really like this idea also, but needs more consideration of how to judge it, true survivor vs bike built with survivor parts. Either way, i'm sure there will be some crackers on show, I'll have a couple to include
