I've been working on my 84 PK for a while now .. Just hunting down some hard to find tyres and cranks.
Hoping an MK type announcement will get the juices flowing to get on it once again again.
I'm going for a UK "dream bike" build and it's definitely going to have a freestyle flavour.....
I've gone for parts that I always loved and don't own in my collection yet!
I've got several bikes I like but doing my version as we would have done it BITD

So what are you all up to?

Hmmm, sounds interesting dude!

Got a Torker 280x to finish, should be a sensible race spec, nothing too flash, just a good solid race bike.

83 Viper, wheels are proving to be a pain in the arse though..........

Got a Hutch pro Riader with a twist in the works
1980 DB Large pro custom to do
And my childhood bike DB silverstreak 2. Most of the parts are here just need them sticking together.

As there are too many beautiful freestyle bikes out there, I couldn't make up my mind yet. The ones I would like to have/build are out of my price range at the moment, and because I don't want make a compromise regarding that I decided to wait for the clear vision and the funds to come. But as you put it"...doing my version as we would have done it BITD" would be my appraoch too. So I'm curious to see what you'll come up with this time.

Meanwhile I'll try to refine my Performer as some parts still need some tlc and others need to be replaced. Not much of a build but for sure some passion will be involved.

It's coming together nicely ... It's got some of my favourite parts to go on it ... Just need a bit of luck on those tyres now .. As always I might have a plan B up my sleeve

Three projects planned, in addition to finishing off my Hot Heart.

A lugged Tange framed bike which is going to get odd-ball parts: Two speed and a coaster included. I have started this one already.
A Kuwahara Laserlite, I have all the bits for a cracking build except a saddle. This one is a little tricky as the chrome on the frame is not the best (but far, far from the worst), worst area is the top tube where the chrome is lifting in the form of small 'bubbles'. I am going to have to get the handlebars rechromed so may well go the full monty as it were. I will have to save up if I go down the rechrome route.
Lastly a S & G Cycles Araya Muddy Wolf, no me neither until Monkian convinced me that it was a good project. I agree, I think this one will be a cracker but needs quite a lot of work plus it is coming to me as a frame only.

Hopefully make some headway into rebuilding the 84 PR Racing Expert. Hopefully have it so that some of the kids of the local club can use it in retro racing if they would like to give it a go. (just want a nice and clean black/chrome look to it)
Only really need to source the Decals for it. already have the headtube ones thanks to Del.

Do have a new Cruiser for racing on the way though.
Will be very close to having a matching set of race bikes which will be nice.

I'm lucky enough that I scored a few framesets last year, but I have a decided to build up a 1985 Dyno Compe - the decision was based on it being a great mid eighties freestyler, a connection to Bob Morales (very often overlooked in BMX History, but he guy who set up the AFA and pushed BMX freestyle bike and accessory design) and also because I think it will make a great build thread, and I think these are a great part of
