hi, looking to get back into bmx after many years away (80's).  I've been riding motorcycles for quite a few years and had a major accident 2.5 years ago and although back riding, i'm still rehabilitating.  Part of physio is learning to balance properly again. I would like to get a bike for general street use and help with balance/physio at the same time.  It would probably spend it's life as an expensive wheelie machine!  I'm looking for an 80's hutch pro raider, haro freestyler sport or similar.  mostly like the shorter top tube/geometry and quality of the bikes mentioned.  Any help or advice on this would be much appreciated.

I've put an ad up in the wanted section for the above mentioned bikes but feel free to offer suggestions and other make bike offers.

Thanks for the welcome, seems a lot more friendly than some of the motorcycle forums i'm a member of!  Very refreshing.

I was just looking at some of the retro remakes Bob, i also had a good chat with Alans bmx, i just missed the last 86 vintage haro sport which looks ideal, but I've got the chance to buy a new/boxed & sealed one, just frame and forks.  Is £450 on the money?

I see your point on depreciation of a remake and cheers for advise on price Griff.  I will hold out a bit and not make any rash decisions.  I suppose i'm not looking so much for an investment bike, more one i can ride for x years then sell on to another enthusiast.  I take good care of all my bikes so i'd like to think whatever i buy will hold a reasonable resale value.

I paid 400 for an 85 last year, seen 86;s for same money.....
