« on: April 16, 2007, 08:57 PM »
Has anybody come across a set, if so where, would love to get my hands on a pair, had a rear bitd when my hub did the collapsing trick. Miles from home iI might add lol. ::)

These hubs are not made by Skyway, they were made in the Midlands as a replacement hub assembly with sealed hubs. Are we both singing from the same song sheet as I have no pics.

You mean these? These are harder to find than proper Skyway hubs.

i agree with Rom Bloke, makes em look ugly, like Zytec hubs !

i think the bloke from Skyway (coloredtuffs) has some proper replacement jobbies, would look much nicer.....imo  :)

Just an idea (if it's purely a rider) could you not use Zytecs hubs?  they have the same 5 bolt system??  not sure if anyones tried it?? i agree wouldn't look as nice but smoother to ride

Not like the ones in the pic. but similar, used to be advertised in BMX Action Bike bitd. Maybe there was only a sprinkling in the Midlands? I don't know. Know they were made in Rugeley. Will try and find the addy. Would really like to find a pair though.

These have five bolts could anyone measure to see if they would fit in a skyway please?

They should fit, there's a pic of one on a red Tuff one further up the thread.

They look like they are for Skyways as I thought Acorns had a 4 bolt fixing

Acorn had 5 bolt, Aero Zytec had 4 bolts iirc.

I think the Acorn ones look different to the Skyway ones up earlier, not sure if the bolt pattern would be the same

I tried the the Acorn hubs and they are the same bolt pattern but they make the hubs too wide to fit into the drops.

Thanks for that mate as I was just thinking of buying the pair of wheels on eBay to rob the hubs - especially the coaster rear hub  fistblump
