Sugino opc BB question

I have a Sugino OPC dated 83 that a standard 24tpi BB doesn't fit? I think I've tried a 28tpi BB aswell but no joy?

anyone have any idea's?

Has it been rechromed possibly at some point? I had this problem before and that was why....other than that it SHOULD be 24tpi

Nope,it's quite roughly finished? It is stamped on the arm sugino cr-mo but isn't chrome? could it of possibly of been de-chromed? would that of done it?

All I can think of its the thread that's damaged, or some crap in the threads.

Threads look ok but possibly a little shallow in depth on checking with another? Dunno how tho do you think it's. More likely to be wear or the dechrome? Shame. Really as it's an ok OPC at the. End of the day
