My first BMX - identity help needed
« on: November 11, 2016, 03:33 PM »
My parents have finally found a couple of pictures of my first BMX (apologies for the quality but scanner not working so had to take photos of photos).  All I can remember is that it was an Aero with teardrop tubing - anyone have any ideas of what exactly it was?

What year was the photo?

The black bike with yellow pad looks like a Falcon Zeta I think

Trying to work out the date - maybe 1982/83 - we all had them for Xmas.
Mine was all chrome with black seat & pedals.  The pad set was black with white writing - think it said Aero or Aero Pro.
Grips looked like these

I would say then off the top of my head it was a Stratton. Teardrop tubing and fun dotted grips, black decals that said aero and a black padset.

Could it have been an Aero Pro Burner?

After speaking with my Dad to see if he remembers any other details, he thinks the pads just said BMX and were bought separately.  He said the bike cost £100 (whereas the black/yellow ones were about £65). Trying to find more pics

Hard to say from those pictures but I have a couple of thoughts?

Pro Lite Privateer
Peugeot also did a chrome frame with teardrop tubing
